Hopping Frog Hostel, located in Assagao, in Goa, is a great place for solo travelers or a group of friends who are looking to stay in Goa.
I came across this place on my last trip and before even writing about it, a Big Shoutout and Kudos to Sonali and Mohit for coming up and maintaining this place in a beautiful manner :). Hopping Frog is a budget friendly Hostel.
Ambiance
The first you will notice about Hopping Frogs Hostel is it’s chilled out vibes. The place has some interesting, eye-catching wall art and open courtyard where you can sit outdoors and enjoy your mornings/evenings. Greeted by a cool chap on the desk, he will introduce you to the hostel. Do note what are the basic norms or rules you need to respect other’s stay and what all get to enjoy as a perk of choosing to live with them.

Rooms and Services
Who doesn’t like cleanliness, in fact, that is one of the first few things we check mark to finalize a place for stay. Fortunately, it fulfilled that criterion for us and was clean, green and quiet.
The dorms are clean; they are kept clean thanks to the chalk-board rules written outside them. Things like respecting other’s sleep, keeping your muddy slippers/shoes outside, not putting your laundry to dry just anywhere, they have a separate area for that and more so. A must for a peaceful and harmonized stay at such places. They had bunk beds in the dorm. They also have a private room.
A counter top kitchen with a bar side like sitting arrangement is present. You could ring their handle bell to order a drink , isn’t that pretty cool? The stay is also friendly and the team there will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
Food
At Hopping Frogs hostel a special Bar and Café runs in full swing from early morning until midnight. Travelers can enjoy delicious local, Indian, and western cuisines that are sure to make the moments in Assagaon very relishing. At morning, all types of common breakfast items are served, while tea and coffee are available just when needed. The bar of this hostel is another spot to chill out. They have the finest arrangement to please every guest.
Common Area at Hopping Frog Hostel
There’s a common area for all to enjoy mixing up, have group chats, getting to know your fellow hostel mates and share stories. This colorful common area is furnished with some nice furniture, some comfy sofas, a TV, a computer and a bulletin board to stick up anything nice and amazing you’d like to share with all.
Their outdoor chilling area is a great place to chill in the evening and have a beer, Maggi or hookah that is in their menu.
Pet-Friendly
You might even feel like extending your stay. That’s the kind of calmness, peace and happy vibe this place has. What adds on to as a perk is having friendly dogs around who are generally also considered to be great stress busters.
There’s a bird cage where colorful birds are kept so you can enjoy to their chirping when sitting outdoors or swinging in the hammock. Acute little bird feeder for the birds to come and have a peck was also there.Have a Pet? Take them along too
Value for money
Hopping Frogs hostel is affordable and very much pocket-friendly. Considering its location, internal service, foods, and peaceful ambiance, travelers will never feel that they are being charged unreasonably.
When somebody is searching for a peaceful place to enjoy the vacation, there is no alternative to Hopping Frogs in Assagao.
Besides, their foods and drinks are cheaper than other places. And travelers get absolutely free Wi-Fi as long as they are staying at Hopping Frogs.
