On seeing that the girl and her family are not willing to approve the will of the minister, he even threatened them to kidnap the girl and to harm the family. The villagers altogether decided to leave the village while casting the spell that no one will be able to live in the village. For more than 200 years, the village remains abandoned.
Before the queen of Kota took hold of the Bhavan, Major Burton was living there along with his family as the employee of the East Indian Company. At the time of Sepoy Mutiny, he along with his entire family was killed by the Indian fighters. The ghost of the Major still haunts the place.
One of the most haunted places near Jaipur, Rana Kumbha Palace is also one of the most haunted places in Rajasthan. People still are afraid to visit this place because of their lethal secret chambers and passages. People visiting the place has still have heard spine-chilling screams of women.
