  1. Dow Industrial Complex (Union Carbide)

    Almost all the people in India are aware of the Bhopal Gas TragedyThe Union Carbide (now Dow Chemical) disaster in Bhopal, Bhopal disaster or Bhopal gas tragedy was an unfortunate event and was one of the worst industrial disasters in the history of the country and the world. At midnight on 3rd December 1984, the plant accidentally released methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas, exposing more than 500,000 people to MIC and other chemicals. This tragedy killed a lot of people and caused consequences that still remain today.

    So, the  Dow Industrial complex allegedly contains the spirits of the killed people. It is in a dilapidated condition and people seldom visit it. People hear strange sounds and spooky things when they visit this place. Some even tell that they saw the spirits in a state of agony. The locals, as well as the families, believe these stories. So, if someone wants to taste thrills, they should visit this place. The chilliness of the place spooks most people out of their wits.

  2. Shivpuri Fort

    What if a king becomes a ghost himself? The story of this place goes that the King Khanderao haunts the place. The fort is located in a rural part of Bhopal and is known to be one of the most haunted places in Madhya Pradesh. Tales say that the selfish and the greedy king lives on as a spirit. He wanted more in his life so he still haunts the place to satisfy himself.

    You will find the place scenic because of its location amidst nature. But the fort is in ruins and you will feel the spookiness of it once you visit it. We recommend going only during the daytime. Locals say that no one comes back if they visit the fort at night. Brave hearts may only dare to do it. This is also one of the most lesser known Haunted places in India.

    Best Time to Visit Shivpuri Fort: Daytime is the best, preferably return before the sun sets.

  3. Bhoot Bangla

    The very name makes it apparent that hauntings are a part of this location. The place frightens both the residents and the locals. They talk about creepy laughter and horrifying apparitions. Even the pedestrians walk by as fast as they may avoid the consequences. People often regard this as the most haunted place in Bhopal.

    You will notice the different sensations as soon as you reach the bungalow. If you have bravery in you, then you may visit this place, especially at night. Definitely remain ready to face the horrifying chills of this haunted house in Bhopal. However, it has been demolished by the government in 2017, still, the land and area of the house remain haunted.

    Best time to visit Bhoot Bangla: Visit it after sunset to feel the chills.

  4. Indira Gandhi Hospital

    Though Indira Gandhi hospital is considered amongst one of the very best hospitals in Bhopal, it has its own share of a scary factor related to it. Patients have many times claimed to have witnessed unexplained things happening, and visitors too have felt something strange about the ambience. The 5th floor of the hospital is the scariest, and people or anyone avoid visiting the 5th floor. It is said that the ghosts of the patients died on the 5th floor still wander there.

  5. Church of Guna

    This Church, however, is not a part of Bhopal, but falls in Madhya Pradesh and is located a few miles from Bhopal. This place has its fame mainly due to its relation to the haunted sightings. Local people claim that they have often heard a child crying in the church, and at the same time, many unnatural events take place. Based on the stories, it is said that the Church was set on fire and since then it is lying condemned and even its sight make it strange.

  6. Taj Mahal Fort

    Taj Mahal Fort is another place that you can count in the list of most haunted places in Bhopal. It was once a standing glory of Bhopal with splendid architecture and a rich history. It is now standing abandoned with nothing more than a condemned fort. Not much is seen or heard, but as stated by Rajkumar Rao. While shooting for movie “Stree,” they were asked to stay aware as the fort has some negative energy.
