Pavilion Mall, Kuala Lumpur – Shopping Paradise In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

If you are a shopping freak, then the Pavilion mall is a great spot and is a must-visit place to see modern architecture which is amazing. On my recent trip to Malaysia, I headed to see this magnificent mall in Kuala Lumpur. Pavillion is a huge mall with a number of branded shops throughout the premises. The Pavilion Mall is located in the BBKLCC, which is a shopping paradise of Malaysia. Inside this BBKLCC area, there is a number of malls where I proceeded to Pavilion mall.

Location of Pavilion Mall

The Pavilion Mall can be easily located opposite to the JW Marriot. The mall is right next to the Millennium Kuala Lumpur.

Address: 168, Bukit Bintang Street, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

How to reach Pavilion Mall?

By Monorail: The Kuala Lumpur Monorail is situated a few steps away from the Pavilion Mall. Hence it is easy to go to the mall from Bukit Bintang station or Raja Chulan station.

By Metro: Take the metro from The Summit Subang USJ, which takes about 85 min to reach the mall. Similarly, from Golden Screen Cinemas, you can take a metro to KL within 61 min.

By Bus: There are a number of buses from Putra World Trade Center, Golden Screen Cinemas, The Summit Subang USJ, and Shah Alam.

Timings of Pavilion Mall

The Pavilion Mall is open every day from Sunday to Saturday from 10.00 AM to 10.00 PM.

Top features of Pavilion Mall

  1. Architecture: The mall is opened in 2007 and it has a great reception from the people of Malaysia. When I entered the mall, I was stunned by the architecture. It looked like a Roman church in Europe, without a dome. I have never seen a mall which was constructed to allow the natural light from outside. The Pavilion Mall is divided into three parts: An office block, a mall, and two towers mainly residential.
  2. Award-winning shopping destination: The Pavilion Mall is the award-winning shopping paradise. The largest crystal fountain is a popular attraction and this fountain has been mentioned in the Malaysian Book of Records.
  3. Car parking: The Pavilion Mall has ample car parking facilities. There are different levels of car parking available from all the four gates of the mall. The parking for motorcycle bays and for handicapped is separately available inside the Pavilion Mall. The parking charges are applicable with different rates as follows.
Days 1st hour Every hour after 1st hour Charge from 05.00 PM to 07.00 AM Motorcycle Entry Maximum Charge per day
Weekdays (Mondays to Friday) RM 3 RM 3 (For subsequent hours) RM 8 RM 2 RM 30
Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and during Public holidays RM 3 RM 3(For subsequent hours) RM 10 RM 2 RM 30
  1. Larger area: It is located at the heart of the city thereby around thousands of people shops here. The area was too huge and I came to know that the total area of the mall is 1.37 million square feet. There are around 450 outlets that offer great fashion, entertainment, food, and furnishing.
  2. All-in-one stop: The Pavilion Mall is the one-stop solution for all your shopping needs. I found many branded showrooms related to fashion and cosmetics industry. There are around 150 diners inside the mall. If you feel hungry and tired after shopping, then you can go for a bite.

Highlights of Pavilion Mall

The Pavilion Mall has more than 450 retail outlets that offer fine fashion and food items. Check out this link to learn about dif ferent stores available and on which floor the store is located.

Trendy fashion outlets

I found a lot of popular branded showrooms like Jimmy Choo, Coach, Dolce& Gabbana, and many others. The international fashion outfits can be purchased here as they are trendy and highly fashionable.

  1. Fashion Avenue: Here you can get the branded outfits for men, women, and children without worrying about the cost. This is the area in Pavilion Mall where you do not have to give importance to the price tags.
  2. Tokyo Street: If you are looking for Asian fashion outfits, then choose a wide range of collections at Tokyo Street.  I found many shops like Nike, Kawaii-Kawaii, and Kenji corner. The prices are reasonable here and the clothing is unique.
  3. Couture Pavilion: Find the best selling International designers fashion outfits in Couture Pavilion of Pavilion Mall. I saw many popular brands retail stores like Gucci, Celine, Bell & Ross, and many others.

Hunt for food

The Pavilion Mall is so large that you may end up feeling hungry after all the shopping 🙂 . But there are numerous cafe and diners inside the mall. Since there are many restaurants, you can choose the diners from KL mall directory provided as a copy at the mall.

  1. Ground floor: I found plenty of fast-food places in the ground floor of Pavilion Mall. You can grab a bite and shop around the mall. The items like wraps, pizzas, beverages, and many others can be bought at the time of shopping.
  2. Third floor: The Pavilion Mall’s third floor is a floor of top restaurants. I found a huge directory at the entrance of the floor that listed restaurants available. If I were a Malaysian, then I would be spending every day at each restaurant and try out different dishes available.
  3. Al Fresco dining: There is an Al Fresco dining area inside the Pavilion Mall. I was tricked by the illusion made by the architects. It looks like an open dining area but it is covered by the transparent roof.

Fun and entertainment

There are lots of places which are fun-filled at Pavilion Mall.

  1. Golden Screen Cinemas: It is a 13 screen Cineplex inside the Pavilion Mall. If you are a Movie buff and a great fan of big screens, the head-over to the GSC.
  2. Karaoke Bar: This is a fun place where you can belt your tunes at the Karaoke bar of Pavilion Mall.
  3. Spa: I found a lot of refreshing spa for massages and beauty retailers where you can spend some time to feel better.

Final take

It took me around a couple of hours to walk around and shop at the Pavilion Mall. It was fun to shop and have food at the mall. Shopping can sometimes be like a meditation (when we are zen about shopping needs) and it can make some people like me relax.  I would recommend visiting this mall to all the shoppers who are planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
