IBIS Styles Calangute Goa, Review

IBIS Styles in Goa is India’s first IBIS Styles, Located at Survey 166, Naika Waddo, Calangute, Goa.

The hotel has a perfect location as it a 9-minute walk from the Calangute beach, although can be a hard to find place at the first, but that’s how all places in Goa are, like a hidden treasure in lanes and close to the ocean.

Ambiance:

The hotel looks extraordinarily colorful and stylish. The free spaces in the hotel moreover feature classic Goan touches, such as inspirations from its rich art, culture and traditions. It is this incorporation of historic elements of the architecture with modern components that makes Ibis Styles Goa Calangute a unique property to visit and experience.

A vibrant colour palette has been developed from the surroundings which are blue/aqua (sea), green (landscape), beige (sand) and golden (sun). This is followed through the hotel, starting right from the entry up to the guestrooms.

The flavor of Goa is in its colors, vibrancy, textures and free flowing nature which emanates in the property and its components. The art is colorful, expansive, sometimes humorous but not flippant. Goa has been brought in through its vivacious color, its gothic architectural feature, in the reception, memories of boat rides on the feature wall, the smell of local Goan bread pao through the bread tins and a young Goa ethos that is warm and welcoming.

The highlight of the foyer is the dramatic canoe and a majestic mother of shells installation that forms a sea wave, flawlessly exuding the signature vibe of Goa and its serene beaches. The chandeliers carry forward a Goan theme evoking the true Goan flavor in Capiz shells and fish shoal.
