If Sydney isn’t already at the top of your travel bucket list, then it’s time to reconsider. Sydney is one of the best places to visit in the world, with a buzzing city life, friendly locals, beautiful natural settings and plenty to do & see. Travelling down under to visit Sydney is incredibly worthwhile, and fortunately there are many great holiday packages you can book to make you trip easier and leave with you with more time to have fun.
Check out these five fun things to do in Sydney below:

1. Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge

One of the top things to do in Sydney is to go see the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is not only just a convenient piece of infrastructure for the city, but a famous landmark that should not be missed when visiting. You can easily view the Sydney Harbour Bridge from many locations across Sydney Harbour, such as at Circular Quay or Milsons Point. If you want incredible views of Sydney and aren’t too afraid of heights, you can even climb it! Simply choose which day and time you want to climb, and enjoy the incredible journey. The whole climb only takes a couple of hours and is a great group activity.

2. Do the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk

For those looking for something fun and free, head on the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk and go past some of Sydney’s best beaches in the East. Starting at the iconic Bondi Beach, follow the path across the stunning Bondi Icebergs and soak in the sights. From here, pass by charming family beaches like Tamarama Beach, Bronte Beach and Clovelly Beach. Be sure to get a snap of the beautiful blue-green waters at Gordon’s Bay, before finishing up at Coogee Beach. After all the exercise, enjoy a dip at the beach or one of the rock pools, and grab a bite to eat at one of many great cafes and restaurants in Coogee.

3. See the animals at Taronga Zoo

If you’re bringing along the kids, make sure you visit the fun Taronga Zoo for some family fun. Taronga Zoo is located in Mosman, North Sydney and can be accessed by a short ferry ride over from Circular Quay. See some of Australia’s most unique native wildlife, like koalas, kangaroos and and more. There is also a range of other rare and exotic animals to be seen and even held! Taronga offers a range of shows and tours, some of which allow you to get up-close and personal with these amazing creatures. The zoo is open everyday of the year and all tickets go towards helping Taronga carry out their important conservation work.

4. Shop ‘till you drop

Sydney is a great place to get some retail therapy done. No matter what you’re looking to get, there’s somewhere in Sydney for you. For boutique and department store shopping, head to the city centre, for David Jones, Myers, QVB and Pitt St. Mall for some great fashion buys. If you’re after more of a bargain, there are regular, local markets across many Sydney suburbs. Check out one’s like Paddy’s Markets in Haymarket, Bondi Markets and Glebe Market. For foodies, try out Sydney Fish Market or the The Rocks Friday night food market.

5. Catch a show at the Sydney Opera House

Another iconic Sydney landmark is the Sydney Opera House. Located in in the West-end of Circular quay, it’s pretty hard to miss the spiky-shaped structure. Take some photos outfront of the steps, but if you’re into theatre or the performing arts, also be sure to score up some tickets to a show.
